The Angeles City government, under the leadership of Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr., has distributed assistance to the local farmers.
Lazatin, represented by Secretary to the Mayor Raffy Lazatin Angeles, handed over 10 knapsack sprayers, 72 pouches of pechay seeds, 10 bottles of foliar fertilizers, and 10 bags of organic fertilizers to the beneficiaries.
The undertaking was in partnership with the Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office III under the High-Value Crops Development Program and Organic Agriculture Program.
The City Information Office (CIO) said the farmer beneficiaries came from Barangays Cutud, Sapalibutad, Mining, Cutcut, Pulungbulu, Anunas, Cuayan, Margot, and Sapangbato.
Teachers from Sta. Maria Elementary School, Francisco G. Nepomuceno Memorial High School, and Malabanias Integrated School also received the assistance, it said.
