The Department of Transportation (DOTr) hailed the launch of the Clark Loop as a benchmark for modern public transportation in airports across the Philippines.
The Clark Loop, a state-of-the-art bus transportation system in Clark Freeport Zone, launched its operations today, September 16, offering free rides on modern buses.
According to Transportation Undersecretary Jesus Ferdinand Ortega, Clark Loop’s efficient and passenger-friendly design serves as a model for other airport areas in the country seeking to improve their public transportation systems.
“The Clark Loop shall encourage private sectors, especially the airports, in implementing comparable measures to enhance public convenience of mass transportation,” Ortega said.
Ortega also emphasized the importance of providing seamless and efficient transportation options in and around airports, as it will contribute to a positive travel experience and boost economic activity in the surrounding areas.
The launch of Clark Loop is expected to significantly benefit residents, workers, and tourists traveling within the Freeport Zone.
Clark Loop boasts 42-seater modern buses equipped with air-conditioning, Wi-Fi, and charging ports for a comfortable passenger experience.
The system also features cashless payment via Beep cards and convenient stops at key locations within the Freeport Zone.
