Angeles City government, under the leadership of Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr., has celebrated the World Teachers’ Day.
Lazatin sponsored the food and drinks for the 3,800 teachers and donated raffle prizes from his pocket, the Angeles City Information Office (CIO) said.
City Councilor Arvin “Pogs” Suller represented the mayor during the celebration on Friday, October 4.
In his message, Suller noted that the Lazatin administration earmarked P5 million in the budget next year to assist the teachers.
Also present during the event were Representative Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II, Vice Mayor Vicky Vega-Cabigting, Councilors Edu Pamintuan, Alexander Indiongco, Cris Cortez, and Niknok Bañola.
