ANGELES CITY — Police arrested four suspects for theft during the Tigtigan Terakan Keng Dalan (TTKD) event in front of Casino Filipino along MacArthur Highway, Barangay Balibago here on Oct. 27.
The suspects, identified as Robinson Rusell Luna Asoy, Christer Miguel Sobiono, Jimson Flandez, and Francis Cristal Villena, were apprehended at approximately 4 a.m. by personnel from Angeles City Police Station 4.
Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. commended the swift action and vigilance of the city police, especially for their effective monitoring during the TTKD event.
“Bawal ‘yan sa Angeles City,” Lazatin said, emphasizing the city’s commitment to maintaining a safe environment for both residents and visitors.
The arrest followed a report of Yasmin Sarip Lumabao, a 20-year-old student, to the the TTKD Command Post that her phone was stolen.
Police intel personnel were immediately dispatched to investigate and soon identified the suspects causing a disturbance, reportedly to divert attention at the crowded event.
Upon questioning, officers recovered multiple mobile phones in the suspects’ possession, including the victim’s Infinix Note 30 5G.
