Five provinces in Central Luzon were among the 41 province awardees of the 2024 Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG).
The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) revealed the list of awardees on Thursday, November 14.
Included in the list were Aurora, Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, and Tarlac.
“Your commitment to excellence in public service and dedication to the principles of good governance have set a remarkable standard for local leadership. Your unwavering dedication to serving the people is an inspiration to us all,” the DILG said.
Meanwhile, 14 cities in Region 3 were also able to get SLGL award.
These include the cities of Angeles, Balanga, Baliwag, Cabanatuan, Mabalacat, Malolos, Meycauayan, Olongapo, Palayan, San Fernando, San Jose, San Jose del Monte, Science City of Munoz, and Tarlac.
Some municipalities in various provinces in Central Luzon were also SGLG awardees.
The municipalities were the following: Baler, Dinalungan, Dingalan, Dipaculao, Maria Aurora, and San Luis, all in Aurora; Abucay, Bagac, Dinalupihan, Hermosa, Mariveles, Morong, Orani, Orion, Pilar, and Samal, all in Bataan;
Angat, Balagtas, Bulakan, Bustos, Dona Remedios Trinidad, Guiguinto, Marilao, Pandi, Paombong, Plaridel, Pulilan, San Ildefonso, and Santa Maria, all in Bulacan;
Bongabon, Cabiao, Cuyapo, Gabaldon, General Tinio, Guimba, Jaen, Llanera
Nampicuan, Pantabangan, Penaranda, Rizal,San Antonio, San Isidron,San Leonardo, Santo Domingo, Talavera, Talugtug, and Zaragoza, all in Nueva Ecija;
Apalit, Arayat, Bacolor,Candba, Floridablanca, Guagua, Lubao, Magalang, Mexico, Minalin, San Luis, Sasmuan, Sta. Ana, and Sto. Tomas, all in Pampanga;
Anao, Camiling, Capas, Concepcion, Gerona, La Paz, Mayantoc, Moncada, Paniqui, Pura, Ramos, San Clemente, San Jose, San Manuel, Sta. Ignacia, and Victoria, all in Tarlac; and
Botolan, Cabangan, Candelaria, Castillejos, Iba, Masanloc, San Antonio San Felipe, and San Marcelino, all in Zambales.
