The Olongapo City government, under the leadership of Mayor Rolen Paulino Jr., has received an award for its campaign against illegal drugs.
In a ceremony on Monday, December 16, at Quest Hotel, Clark, Pampanga, Paulino accepted the award during the Gawad Timpukan of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).
The city government achieved a “high-functionality” rating with a perfect score of 100.00 in the Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ADAC) Performance Audit for CY 2023.”
“This milestone reflects our unwavering commitment to a drug-free community,” said the Olongapo City Public Affairs Office (PAO).
“Adding to this achievement is the release of the 2024 SGLG (Seal of Good Local Governance) Incentive Fund, further empowering us to drive positive change and development for our city,” it added.
The city government thanked the DILG for the honor and support.
“Together, we continue to make Olongapo a safer and better place for all!” PAO said.
The Gawad Timpukan had the theme, “Recognizing Change Makers, Empowering Trailblazers.”
