Disaster resilience group renews lease with CDC

CLARK FREEPORT – The Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation (PDRF) has  renewed the lease contract for its Emergency Operations Center here.

Clark Development Corp. president and CEO Atty. Agnes VST Devanadera, Bases Conversion and Development Authority president and CEO Joshua Bingcang, and PRDF president Rene Meily formalized the renewal of the deed of usufruct (DOU) at the Meralco Compound in Pasig City on Dec. 13. 

A key component of the DOU is the capacity-building initiatives by PDRF which will enhance the capabilities of CDC, its stakeholders, and the Metro Clark community.

The Emergency Operations Center operated by PDRF in Clark runs 24/7, ensuring continuous disaster monitoring, alerting, and coordination of response efforts. This facility is essential for managing climate change risks and enhancing disaster resilience through effective public-private partnerships, demonstrating CDC’s dedication to a resilient future

The ceremonial signing of the DOU was witnessed by PDRF co-chair and trustees Manuel V. Pangilinan and Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala, PDRF chief resilience officer Guillermo Luz, and CDC vice president for legal matters Atty. Gloria Victoria Yap-Taruc.

Also in attendance were CDC vice president for security services Lina Sarmiento, CDC head of communications Astrud Aguinaldo, and BCDA assistant vice president for legal Atty. Christian Duldulao. CDC-PR
