Olongapo City gov’t gets Seal of Child-Friendly Local Governance award

The Olongapo City government led by Mayor Rolen C. Paulino Jr. has received the Seal of Child-Friendly Local Governance award.

The award was given by the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

“This esteemed recognition reflects the city’s steadfast commitment to ensuring the welfare of its children, having successfully passed the 2023 Child-Friendly Local Governance Audit,” the City Information Office (CIO) said.

The CIO said the award, presented on Tuesday, February 18, in San Fernando, Pampanga, was a testament to Olongapo City’s dedication to fostering a nurturing and supportive environment for future generations.

The city government acknowledged the collaborative efforts of the City Social Welfare and Development Office and the DILG for getting the award.
