Point C to Point S: PAL connects, seamlessly

CLARK FREEPOT – What had for long polar points of destination in the country, flag carrier Philippine Airlines has connected seamlessly.

Surfing capital Siargao in the far, far south is now but an hour and 40-minute flight from Clark – and for that matter the rest of Central and Northern Luzon – three times weekly at that via PAL.

PR 2875 Clark-Siargao every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday departs CRK at 11am, arriving in Siargao at 1:05pm. PR 2876 Siargao-Clark on the same days departs Siargao at 1:35pm arriving in Clark at 3:40pm.

PAL also operates twice daily flights to Siargao via Manila and Cebu, using the De Havilland Dash 8-400 turboprop aircraft. Yes, the aircraft type that will soon be transferred from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport to CRK and other “smaller” airports to help decongest the country’s premier gateway.

The decision to transfer made by the Manila Slot Coordination Committee, which includes the Undersecretary for Aviation from the Department of Transportation, the general manager of MIAA, and the director-general of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines is auguring well for CRK. Load factor has been burgeoning considerably in the CRK-Siargao-CRK route of PAL as shown in the check-in counters and terminals of the two airports.
