11 ‘crucified’ in San Fernando City on Good Friday

Eleven Kapampangans participated in the crucifixion in San Fernando City on Good Friday.

The City Information Office (CIO) said one of them was “Pampanga Kristo” Ruben Enaje, 64.

“Enaje was ‘crucified’ at a makeshift hill in Barangay San Pedro Cutud under the scorching heat of 1:00 PM after about an hour of walking, with his 36-year term as a ‘Kristo’ attracting approximately 8,000 local and foreign viewers,” the CIO said.

In San Pedro Cutud, three other penitents were also nailed. They were Arnold Maniago, 46; Windy Donaire, 49; and Joel Ortega, 56.

The other penitents who were crucified came from San Juan (one), Sta. Lucia (three), and Del Pilar (three).
