San Fernando City, Pampanga has hosted this year’s edition of “Bisig-Kleta” and a fun run organized by the National Authority for Child Care (NACC) and Regional Alternative Child Care Office (RACCO) Central Luzon.
The activity was held on Saturday, June 14, from Megaworld Capital Town Pampanga to across the city.
The City Information Office (CIO) said the caravan traveled through strategic portions of the city and brought the community together in support of child-centered advocacy.
Hundreds of Fernandinos, Kapampangans, and others from different provinces of Region 3 participated in the event.
The CIO said Mayor Vilma Balle-Caluag was represented by City Social Welfare and Development Officer Aileen Villanueva, who met with NACC and RACCO 3 key officers.
“Both parties expressed strong support for efforts to ensure that no child or individual is left behind and lives in the absence of family love and care,” it said.
The Bisig-Kleta and fun run were just the first of two activities planned in San Fernando for Adoption and Alternative Child Care Week, with the second caravan scheduled for June 24 at SM City Pampanga.
