
Magkakaroon na ng bagong Regional Disaster Response Command and Logistics Center ang Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) sa Region 3.
Itatayo ang naturang pasilidad sa isang ektaryang lupa sa loob ng Clark Aviation Capital Complex sa Clark, Pampanga na pinangangasiwaan ng Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC).
Ayon kay CIAC President Jojit Alcazar, malaki ang maitutulong ng pasilidad sa pagpapabilis ng relief operations sa buong Gitnang Luzon. Magsisilbi umano itong pangunahing imbakan at distribution point ng mga ayuda tuwing may kalamidad.
Pinangunahan nina DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian, Undersecretary Diana Rose Cajipe, Assistant Secretary Irene Dumlao, at Clark Development Corporation (CDC) Director Atty. Nicolette Henson ang pag-inspeksyon sa site, kasama sina Pampanga Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, Provincial Government Environment and Natural Resources Office (PGENRO) Chief Art Punsalan, at CIAC Director Rommel Santiago.
Bahagi ito ng mas malawak na plano ng CIAC na gawing logistics hub ang Clark. Nauna nang nailunsad dito ang mga pasilidad para sa Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), at Philippine Pharma Procurement, Inc.
Kasama rin sa mga disaster management facilities na located sa Clark ang Philippine Disaster Recovery Foundation (PDRF), National Government Administrative Center (NGAC), at Integrated Operations Center for Disaster Response Management. #
