Gov Pineda asks Pampanga LGU officials to set aside politics

Pampanga Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda has urged local government leaders to set aside politics and foster unity.

She made the call during the L.E.A.D. PROGRAM (Leadership, Ethics, Accountability, and Development in Local Governance) Seminar on Tuesday, August 5, at the Kingsborough International Convention Center, City of San Fernando.

“Wag na tayong mag-away, magtulungan tayo.Hindi ko po ito kakayanin kung wala kayo,” Pineda said.

The activity led by the provincial government, in partnership with the Department of Interior and Local Government Pampanga, was attended by mayors, vice mayors, and councilors from the municipalities and cities in the province.

“Layunin ng programa na patibayin ang ugnayan at pagkakaisa ng mga halal na opisyal sa Pampanga, at maturuan sila ng mga tamang proseso ng paggawa ng batas, gayundin ng accountability sa bawat desisyong ginagawa sa pamahalaan,” the Provincial Information Office (PIO) said.
