More than 3,700 individuals in Pampanga have graduated under the Alternative Learning System (ALS) and Government Internship Program (GIP).
The Pampanga government held the graduation ceremony for the 2,934 Kapampangans who completed ALS of the Department of Education and 850 others under GIP on Tuesday, January 20, at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center.
Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, Vice Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda, some members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod, and representatives from the Department of Labor and Employment, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), ALS, and DepEd were present at the event.
“Hindi na kayo kailanman mamamaliitin ng iba, dahil nakapag-aral na kayo,” the governor said in her speech.
Aside from the certificates, the provincial government distributed P2,000 financial assistance and food packs to each of the graduates.
