The local government of Lubao, Pampanga, under the leadership of Mayor Esmeralda Pineda, has launched a feeding program for students in the municipality.
“Goodbye sa nakasanayang sopas at lugaw—hello sa paboritong kanin na may afritada!” the Provincial Information Office (PIO) said of the food prepared for the students of San Pablo 2nd High School.
The children were also given milk.
Pineda, who graced the event, said the 2,445 underweight public elementary and high school students will undergo the feeding program three times a week for six months.
