The San Fernando City government, led by Mayor Vilma Balle-Caluag, has received donated books that will be part of the collection at the upcoming City Library.
Former Civil Service Commission Field Office-Bataan Director Edgardo Cruz recently turned over 51 books covering a wide range of subjects to Caluag at the Executive Building.
The books included political science, research and thesis writing, inspirational and self-help, health and nutrition, novels and literature, communication arts, business and letter writing, management and supervision, and financial literacy.
Joining Cruz during the turnover were Director Dyna Marie Quimson of CSC Field Office Pampanga and key officers of the City Government’s Tourism Office and City Human Resource Management Office.
“This further highlighted the partnership between the City Government and the CSC in advancing knowledge-sharing and community development, and reflects a shared commitment to fostering a culture of reading among Fernandinos,” the City Information Office (CIO) said.
The soon-to-open City Library will be housed within the City Museum, currently under development at the City Hall.
