ANGELES CITY — Global new energy vehicle leader BYD officially strengthened its footprint in Central Luzon with the launch of its newest dealership, BYD Angeles on May 15, marking another milestone in the company’s growing expansion across the Philippines.
The opening reflects BYD’s continued momentum worldwide, with the company recording more than 320,000 vehicles sold globally in April 2026 alone. The same momentum is increasingly being felt in the Philippine market, where demand for practical, efficient, and technologically advanced mobility solutions continues to rise.

“This shift in consumer preference has driven BYD’s aggressive expansion strategy in key regional growth centers such as Pampanga,” said BYD Cars Philippines sales director Jolo Aranas, noting that more Filipinos are now seeking vehicles that align with modern lifestyles while supporting sustainability and innovation.
“Central Luzon plays an important role in our growth story in the Philippines,” shared BYD Philippines deputy general manager for corporate services Lovely Labrador during the launch event. “The region’s strong economy, dynamic business environment, and progressive communities make Angeles City an ideal location to further strengthen BYD’s presence.”

Known as one of the country’s rapidly developing economic hubs, Angeles City has become a strategic location for automotive investments and emerging mobility solutions.
As one of the esteemed guests and a satisfied BYD user for almost 10 years now, Pampanga 1st District Rep. Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. emphasized that the new dealership is expected not only to improve accessibility for customers in the region, but also to contribute to local economic activity and employment opportunities.
The launch also signals continued growth for the brand’s local operations in partnership with ACMobility, led by its CEO Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala, alongside dealer partner Valuesales Inc. and the team behind BYD Angeles.

Zobel underscored the broader mission: “Our goal is clear — to make more sustainable transport solutions closer to Filipino communities.”
Adding to the excitement, BYD announced the upcoming Philippine launch of the highly anticipated BYD Sealion 7 later this month, further expanding the company’s growing lineup of new energy vehicles in the country.
Industry observers note that the continued rise of electric and hybrid mobility in the Philippines reflects changing consumer priorities, with buyers increasingly considering fuel efficiency, lower operating costs, and advanced vehicle technology when making purchasing decisions.

For BYD, however, officials say the opening of its Angeles dealership is only the beginning. “BYD still has so much more to offer the Filipino market in the months ahead,” Labrador shared, expressing optimism about the future of sustainable mobility in the country.
With its latest dealership launch in Pampanga, BYD reinforces its commitment to making innovative and sustainable transportation more accessible to Filipinos while supporting the country’s transition toward cleaner mobility solutions.
