BACOOLOR, Pampanga — A new countryside destination is drawing food lovers and leisure seekers to Barangay Cabetican as Casa Esmeralda and its signature restaurant, ESME, offer a blend of nature, hospitality and Kapampangan cuisine in a serene setting.
Spanning nearly two hectares, Casa Esmeralda is a joint venture of Philippine basketball star Jason Castro and Chef Felix Asuncion. The property was envisioned as a relaxing retreat where guests can enjoy open spaces while experiencing Pampanga’s renowned culinary tradition.

At the heart of the estate is ESME, a restaurant that showcases dishes inspired by Kapampangan flavors with a modern touch. Led by Chef Asuncion, the restaurant aims to provide diners with an elevated culinary experience that reflects the province’s rich food culture.

Beyond dining, Casa Esmeralda also serves as a venue for family gatherings, private celebrations and special events, offering visitors a countryside escape just a short drive from Metro Manila and other parts of Central Luzon.

The opening of the property adds to Bacolor’s growing list of lifestyle and tourism destinations, underscoring the municipality’s continuing transformation while reinforcing Pampanga’s reputation as the Culinary Capital of the Philippines.

With its combination of scenic surroundings, warm hospitality and thoughtfully prepared cuisine, Casa Esmeralda and ESMEE are poised to become among the province’s newest attractions for both locals and visitors alike.
