NEW CLARK CITY — Hann Foundation, Inc. (HFI) formally turned over a fully-equipped mobile blood donation vehicle to the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) Pampanga-Angeles City Chapter in a ceremony held at The Club at Hann Reserve, New Clark City.
The donation directly addresses a long-standing gap for the chapter — the lack of a dedicated vehicle for blood drives — and is expected to boost the frequency of bloodletting activities across Pampanga and nearby areas.
Leading the turnover were HFI Executive Director Ana Christi G. Galura; Hann Philippines, Inc. VP for Real Estate and Property Development Agnes “Neki” Liwanag; and HPI Golf Operations General Manager Tim Neil. Representing PRC were Chairman & CEO Sen. Richard “Dick” J. Gordon, Secretary General Dr. Gwendolyn Pang, and PRC Pampanga-Angeles City Chapter Board Chairman Alfrito Mah.
The bus, fully acquired, fabricated, and outfitted by HFI, functions as a complete blood donation facility on wheels. It meets PRC operational standards and is equipped to bring safe and comfortable donation services directly to LGUs, schools, companies, and even remote communities.
This brings to seven the total number of mobile blood donation buses operated by PRC nationwide.
“If there is a will, there is always a way. We are giving PRC a way. This Mobile Blood Donation Vehicle removes barriers, reaches more communities, and inspires more Filipinos to give the priceless gift of life,” said Liwanag. “Hann Foundation is honored to continue investing in partnerships that create healthier and more resilient communities.”
For Galura, the project reflects all four pillars of Hann Foundation — Health, Education, Environment, and Culture.
“This is aligned with our work in Health by providing an accessible blood donation facility, in Education by advocating regular donation, in Environment as stewards of the Earth, and in Culture through bayanihan,” Galura said.
“Despite national and international issues, we do not need to be in business or politics to make a difference. By donating blood, we can be everyday heroes to Filipino patients in need. We can help save lives,” she added.
PRC Chairman Richard J. Gordon, meanwhile, emphasized the role of the vehicle in emergency response.
“Preparedness saves lives. We must always be ready — not only for everyday emergencies but also for major disasters, including the ‘Big One,’ when thousands may need immediate blood transfusions. This Mobile Blood Donation Vehicle strengthens our readiness by bringing blood collection closer to our communities, ensuring that no Filipino, regardless of economic status, is denied the chance to receive life-saving blood,” he said.
The initiative supports RA 7719 or the National Blood Services Act, the Universal Health Care Act, and the UN Sustainable Development Goal on Good Health and Well-being.
Held at Hann Reserve, the event also underscored Hann Group’s vision of linking responsible development with community service. Hann Reserve is envisioned as an integrated lifestyle destination combining golf, hospitality, and nature.
