The City College of San Fernando, Pampanga (CCSFP) has made a historic milestone since its establishment, with 487 graduates of the Class of 2026.
The City Information Office (CIO) said this was the largest number of Aslag ning Balen graduates in a ceremony in the college’s history.
“This achievement is due to the completion of the pioneer batch of beneficiaries under Mayor Vilma Balle-Caluag’s groundbreaking Open-Door Policy launched in 2022, which allowed Fernandinos to enter CCSFP regardless of their past academic performance,” the CIO said.
Caluag attended the two-part 12th Commencement Exercises held on Friday, August 7.
In her message, the mayor cited the challenges of leadership, admitting that making difficult choices can be overwhelming.
“It’s not easy to be a leader because in every decision you make, may malulungkot at matutuwa, so make sure to make the right decision. At para hindi kayo magkamali sa bawat desisyon na (gagawin ninyo), kailangang isama natin ang Diyos sa sistema ng buhay natin dahil hindi tayo maliligaw kapag nagdadasal tayo,” she said.
Pampanga 3rd District Rep. Alyssa Michaela “Mica” Gonzales graced the graduation rites as the main guest of honor and keynote speaker.
