MINALIN, Pampanga — Following heavy rains and severe flooding that recently submerged parts of the province, Eco Protect Management Corp. (EPMC) rolled out a relief operation here on Aug. 12, reaching 2,000 affected families.
EPMC president and CEO Alainne Tan personally led the aid distribution across three designated covered courts, ensuring assistance reached displaced residents from seven local barangays.
The operation was made possible through strong inter-agency collaboration. The PNP 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company spearheaded the coordination of the relief efforts, while the Pampanga Police Provincial Office led by provincial director Col. Ricardo M. David actively assisted in managing the operations and distributing aid directly to the beneficiaries.
A total of 805 families from Barangays Sta. Catalina, San Francisco I, and San Francisco II received aid at the Sta. Catalina Covered Court. Another 589 families from Barangays San Nicolas and Sto. Rosario were served at the San Nicolas Covered Court, while 606 families from Barangays Sta. Rita and San Pedro received assistance at the Sta. Rita Covered Court.
Tan said the initiative is part of Eco Protect’s annual outreach program aimed at providing assistance to families affected by calamities and other emergencies. “We believe that in times like this, we have a responsibility to help ease the burden of families affected by the disaster. This is our way of extending our support and letting them know that they are not alone,” Tan said.
She furthered that Eco Protect remains steadfast in its commitment to extend relief and humanitarian assistance to vulnerable areas whenever and wherever it is needed most. Press release
