The local art scene is once again filled with colors as Sibul ning Kalalangan (SNK) officially launched its August series of art sessions on August 15, 2026. Held at the Tabnuan Mabalacat City Cultural Center, the opening installment welcomed aspiring local creatives for an immersive workshop titled “Basic Comic Illustration: Stick Figures, Rhythm, Mass, and Muscles.”
The workshop was facilitated by SNK Founder and Adviser Dodjie Aguinaldo, who guided participants through the fundamental building blocks of comic art—transitioning from basic stick figures to capturing dynamic movement, mass, and anatomical structure.
Fostering Local Art and Mentorship
The monthly Art at Tabnuan program serves as a cornerstone for community-based creativity in Mabalacat. Designed to make artistic education accessible to all, the initiative focuses on nurturing emerging talents, strengthening direct mentorship between seasoned artists and youth, and safeguarding local artistic traditions for future generations.
