TMC Clark expands free ambulance service to 50-km radius

CLARK FREEPORT — The Medical City Clark has expanded its free ambulance service to patients within a 50-kilometer radius of the hospital, as part of its efforts to provide faster access to emergency medical care.

This was confirmed by TMC Clark Director Erlaine Borlogan during Pampanga Press Club’s News@Hues at Park Inn by Radisson Clark.

Borlogan said the initiative, which previously covered patients within a 1-kilometer radius, was expanded to reach more patients who may require immediate medical attention.

She said the ambulance service may be used for medical emergencies, including accidents and other critical cases requiring immediate transport and care.

The director also emphasized the importance of early intervention, particularly in emergency cases where a patient’s condition can deteriorate rapidly. Hospital officials said both young and elderly patients may experience critical conditions that require immediate medical attention.

The ambulance service, Borlogan said, is intended to bring patients directly to Medical City Clark, where they can receive emergency and specialized medical care.

With a 103-bed capacity, TMC Clark said its efforts to expand access to emergency and hospital services are aligned with the Department of Health’s goal of advancing universal health care and making essential medical services more accessible to Filipinos.

TMC Clark officials said they are continuing efforts to make their services more accessible to patients and the community.

The hospital’s Emergency Department provides immediate care for emergency and critical cases, with patients assessed and managed according to the severity of their condition.
