The Pampanga Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (PamCham) reaffirmed its commitment to driving sustainable development across Central and Northern Luzon in the recently concluded Luzon Economic Corridor (LEC) Investment Forum 2026.
PamCham President Atty. Paul Yusi and Infrastructure Development Director Atty. Ryan Tan represented the organization, which is considered as the top business chamber in Central Luzon region.
Ar the summit, the support of the private and business sector was highlighted, especially on the roadmap for “Pax Silica”—a major economic initiative that would be centered in New Clark City, Capas, Tarlac.
The forum was attended by President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. as global investors, top diplomats, and key government figures gathered for the summit.
Joining the President were Finance Secretary and investments and economic affairs czar Frederick Go, U.S. Ambassador Lee Lipton, U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) Deputy Director and COO Thomas Hardy, and Takao Imafuku, Director General of the International Cooperation Bureau under Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The high-level event attracted delegations from the United States, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Australia, and representatives from the European Union, alongside local government units and Philippine policymakers.
Chief executives and senior managers from leading multinationals spanning technology, infrastructure, renewable energy, advanced manufacturing, and logistics attended to explore public-private partnerships across the corridor.
In an FB post, PamCham, reiterated its support to Pax Silica which is geared at elevating the Philippines in higher value chain in production and specially on semiconductors and microchips.
This also echoes previous remarks by BCDA President Jake Bingcang that Pax Silica would form part of an “ecosystem for the LEC.
“PamCham’s support focused on Pax Silica’s strategic advantages: a sustainable industrial and technology cluster in New Clark City; enhanced connectivity and logistics for northern Luzon; resilient supply-chain hubs; incentives for green manufacturing and clean energy; and public-private partnership structures designed to accelerate inclusive job creation and regional economic growth, particularly in North Luzon,” it stated.
The presence of international envoys and industry leaders in the summit underscored growing foreign interest in transforming Northern Luzon into a prime hub for resilient supply chains and green technology in Southeast Asia.
Also in attendance were Dr. John Avila of the U.S. State Department’s Regional Foreign Assistance Section, former Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Secretary Alfredo Pascual, and Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Tarlac Chairman Chito Ho.
