The Medical City Clark (TMCC) has set its sights on becoming the leading provider of medical services in Central Luzon with its network of Manila-based specialty doctors, complementing already premium treatment facilities.
“The expansion is already in the pipeline. Especially the goal for TMC Clark, is actually to become the Apex hospital,” said Earline Borlongan, TMCC hospital director.
She said that TMCC has a network of specialty doctors who may be based in Manila but can be tapped to come to Clark.
TMCC, the only hospital north of Manila to have a Joint Commission International accreditation, is boosting its current manpower.
“We do not want only to back on the general services but definitely leverage on the subspecialties, super specialties so that even complicated cases and high value cases can be done in TMCC”, she added.

With its JCI accreditation– a gold standard in hospital services in the United States — and the expanded coverages on Universal Health Care, TMC could be having an increased number of patients and patronage. It currently has a wide spectrum of services that include cardiac catheter lab, centers for cancer, diabetes, occupational health, pancreas and liver, kidney transplantation, breast and wellness.
It also has various special clinical services for aesthetics, arthritis, osteoporosis, kidney stone and prostate, eyes, ear, nose throat, brain attacks and other major and minor medical conditions.
Borlongan also hinted on the expansion of the 103-room hospital. No figures on additional room capacity were however mentioned.
