1,900 Kabalen Nanays receive cash aid

Some 1,900 “Kabalen Nanays” have received financial assistance under the Ayuda para sa Kapos ang Kita or AKAP Program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, Vice Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda, and NANAY Partylist Rep. Florabel Yatco led the distribution of P5,000 cash aid to the mothers, pregnant women, and senior citizens from various municipalities in Pampanga at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center.

“Aabot sa mahigit 1,900 ‘Kabalen Nanays’ ang nabigyan ng tulong pinansyal bilang dagdag-ginhawa para sa pang-araw-araw na gastusin sa pagkain at gamot ng kanilang pamilya,” the Provincial Information Office (PIO) said.

The beneficiaries also received a free pneumonia vaccine worth P3,000 to P5,000, it added.
