CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — Pampanga’s “mother of all festivals” – Sinukwan Festival returns for its 29th edition on Nov. 21 to 28, bringing together kabalens in a vibrant celebration of culture, heritage, artistry, and community spirit.
Anchored on the preservation and promotion of Kapampangan identity with the theme “Tetagan Lub at Sipagan, Keng Kultura Miambagan,” the weeklong festival will feature an exciting lineup of performances, competitions, workshops, and cultural activities designed to engage the youth, artists, educators, and communities.
Among the highlights are the Kapampangan Spoken Word Competition, Drum and Lyre Competition, Lakan at Lakambini Sinukwan, and the much-anticipated Street Dance Competition—showcasing the creativity, talent, and enduring cultural pride of the Kapampangan people.
Leading the festival’s executive committee as hermana mayor is business leader and artist Agnes M. Romero, who will spearhead partnerships and initiatives aimed at strengthening the festival’s mission of keeping Kapampangan traditions alive and passing them on to the next generation.
Adding to the festival’s community impact is Santungan ning Kulturang Kapampangan program director Sonia P. Soto, who will make a special contribution to the local community through the celebration.
More than a festival, Sinukwan continues to serve as a vibrant platform where generations come together to celebrate the richness of Kapampangan culture and ensure that its traditions remain alive, relevant, and proudly embraced by future generations.
