CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — A total of 3,265 students with disabilities and children of persons with disabilities across Pampanga received educational financial assistance from the provincial government, reinforcing its commitment to inclusive support and equal access to education.
Beneficiaries from the first, second, and fourth districts were served through separate payout activities led by Gov. Lilia ‘Nanay” Pineda and Vice Gov. Dennis “Delta” Pineda, in coordination with Lubao Mayor Esmie Pineda, Apalit Mayor Jun Tetangco and members of the sangguniang panlalawigan on April 23.

Distribution was conducted across key municipalities, with 659 beneficiaries in Magalang (1st District), 1,281 in Lubao (2nd District), and 1,325 in Apalit (4th District).
Each beneficiary received ₱2,500 in cash assistance along with food packs provided by the provincial government, even as it reaffirmed its commitment to expand financial assistance and medical missions to further support the health and educational needs of PWDs and their families.

“We are planning to organize a theme park visit for these children as a way of recognizing their perseverance and determination in pursuing their education despite the challenges they face,” the governor said.

According to the provincial social welfare and development office, nearly 5,000 PWD youth and children of PWDs in Pampanga regularly benefit from the province’s assistance programs. Pampanga PIO/Photos: Daniel Ombina
