CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — Fifty amputees from different towns of Pampanga were provided with prosthetic legs by the Provincial Government of Pampanga, under the leadership of Gov. Lilia “Nanay” Pineda and Vice Gov. Dennis “Delta” Pineda, helping them regain mobility and continue their livelihood.
In partnership with Jose B. Lingad Memorial General Hospital, the beneficiaries were brought for assessment and fitting of customized prosthetic legs as part of the provincial government’s continuing medical assistance program for Kapampangans with disabilities and serious health conditions on Monday, May 25.

Among the beneficiaries is 49-year-old tricycle driver Errison Soliman of Barangay Dau, Mabalacat City, who lost his leg in 2022 due to Buerger’s disease, a rare vascular condition commonly associated with smoking and poor lifestyle habits.
Aside from prosthetic leg assistance, each beneficiary was given cash aid from the Pineda family for their immediate needs during treatment and fitting.

According to the beneficiaries, the assistance will greatly help them regain confidence, improve mobility, and return to work to support their families.
“Basta masaya lang dapat kahit ganito. Sila Nanay, noon pa man, ay tumutulong. Maraming-maraming salamat, ‘Nay, tinulungan niyo kaming mga putol na magkaroon ng paa para makalakad muli,” said Soliman.
