CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — Medical and food assistance have been extended to 790 patients with elevated creatinine levels from the second district through the Alagang Nanay Preventive Healthcare Program and the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
Gov. Lilia “Nanay” Pineda personally attended to the beneficiaries from Lubao, Floridablanca, Sta. Rita, Porac, and Guagua who were provided with free medical consultations, laboratory tests, medicines, and other forms of assistance during a medical mission in Lubao town on Aug. 25 led by the provincial government with doctors and nurses from the provincial health office (PHO).
As part of the provincial government’s continuing efforts to help patients manage their condition and prevent further kidney complications, the beneficiaries were provided with ketoanalogue medicines sufficient for up to three months.
“Ang importante po ay mapigilan na mapunta kayo sa dialysis. Tandaan n’yo po, habang nandito ako, hindi ko ititigil ang pagbibigay sa inyo ng gamot na ketoanalogue. Lagi kayong meron,” Gov. Pineda said, stressing that the program aims not only to provide immediate medical assistance but also to help prevent the progression of kidney disease that may eventually require dialysis.
Aside from medical assistance, the patients also received food packs from the DSWD and half a sack of rice each, providing additional support to the beneficiaries and their families as they manage their health conditions.
According to the PHO, elevated creatinine levels may indicate reduced kidney function and warrant proper medical evaluation and monitoring. Early detection, regular consultation, appropriate medication, and continued medical supervision can help patients manage their condition and reduce the risk of serious complications.
Meanwhile, another 300 patients received free medical consultations and maintenance medicines for cholesterol, blood sugar, and triglyceride management, as well as food packs from the Capitol too.
Through the Alagang Nanay Preventive Healthcare Program, the Provincial Government of Pampanga continues to expand access to preventive healthcare, medicines, and social assistance, particularly for Kapampangans who require sustained medical attention and support. Pampanga PIO/Photos: Daniel Ombina
