Angeles City seeks to position itself as hub for digital innovation

The Angeles City government, led by Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II, has welcomed the establishment of the Angeles Data Center of Converge ICT Solutions Inc.

Lazatin joined President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., Department of Information and Communications Technology Secretary Henry Aguda, Converge Co-Founder Dennis Anthony Uy, Pampanga Governor Lilia Pineda, and Vice Governor Dennis Pineda during their visit to the center recently.

“The visit highlighted the growing role of the Angeles Data Center in strengthening the country’s digital infrastructure, enhancing cybersecurity, and supporting secure data management as the Philippines continues its digital transformation,” the City Information Office (CIO) said.

The facility is also expected to help support AI-driven technologies, attract high-value investments, and improve the delivery of secure and reliable digital services, it said.

The CIO said the local government continues to support initiatives that promote innovation, technology, and strategic investments that create opportunities for Angeleños.

“Through partnerships that strengthen digital infrastructure, Angeles City continues to position itself as a hub for innovation, connectivity, and sustainable economic growth,” it added.
