AUF 100% passing rate is ‘by design’

The 100 percent passing rate of Angeles University Foundation (AUF) in the recent Physicians Licensure Examination was a result of hard work and collaboration.

So said AUF President Joseph Emmanuel Angeles during the convocation for new physicians and diplomates at the university’s Sports and Cultural Center.

“These things do not happen by chance. They happen by design. They happen, because a number of people are conspired if you want to call it that, to bring about this wonderful result,” Angeles said in his speech.

The AUF School of Medicine registered a 100 percent passing rate in the PLE held for four days, October 3, 4, 10 and 11. It had 48 board takers.

The national passing rate is pegged at 93.66 percent.

Angeles added that he did not find the result to be a surprise.

“It’s a 100% yet again, and I actually I cannot even remember the last time that was not the case. So again congratulations to everyone.”

Angeles congratulated the examinees, parents and faculty members “for excellent performance”.

AUF has been known for its perfect and extremely high passing rates not just in medical board exams but also in other licensure tests.

Aside from PLE this October, AUF posted 100 percent passing rates in the following;

  • Pharmacists Licensure Exam (October 2026): 100 percent for 43 takers
  • Psychologists and Psychometricians Licensure Exam (September 2026): AUF achieved a 100% passing rate among its first-time takers.
  • Licensure Examination for Architects (January 2026): The AUF College of Engineering and Architecture
  • Philippine Nurses Licensure Examination (November 2025): The AUF College of Nursing maintained a perfect 100% passing rate, extending a remarkable streak of 18 consecutive nursing board exams with a 100% passing record dating back to 2015.
