Barn by Conti’s opens doors in Clark, sets tone for Conti’s upscale expansion

CLARK FREEPORT — Barn House 2085 is serving as a launchpad for a beloved bakeshop and restaurant chain’s expansion, joining Clark’s high-end lineup of dining spots along Cardinal Santos St.

Barn by Conti’s, a restaurant concept by Conti’s Bakeshop and Restaurant, formally opened its doors on February 10, marking the chain’s first foray outside the homegrown brand.

EightAte8 Holdings Inc., the team behind Conti’s, developed Barn by Conti’s specifically for the barn house, designing a menu fit for Clark’s diverse community. Going beyond Conti’s classics such as their cakes and dinner meals, Barn by Conti’s features a wide array of drinks, from coffee to cocktails.

EightAte8 President and CEO Joey Garcia said the group undertook meticulous steps to cater to Clark’s unique clientele and environment.

“CDC [for the barn house] wanted something special, so we brainstormed and we brought out the best of the best,” Garcia said.

Clark Development Corporation (CDC) Chairperson Atty. Edgardo Pamintuan celebrated the launch, affirming the shared vision of CDC and EightAte8.

“You are part of history now. Binigyan mo kami ng pagkakataong ma-revive ito (barn house),” Atty. Pamintuan said.

The century-old barn houses are a key part of Clark’s rich history, with the distinct architecture designed to circulate breeze, bringing a cool escape to the tropical heat. CDC has turned these breezy barn houses into community hotspots, creating a unique experience that blends the storied past with the vibrant present.

Garcia said the success of Barn by Conti’s will pave the way for further development of the concept.

“We felt this is a good testing ground for something like Barn. True enough, we are now going beyond Clark. We have a proven concept,” Garcia said.

Representing CDC at the opening were Chairperson Atty. Edgardo Pamintuan, Director Jose Philip Panlilio, Vice President for Business Development and Business Enhancement Group Atty. Noelle Mina Meneses, Vice President for Security Services Group PMGen. Lina Sarmiento (Ret.), Assistant Vice President for Business Enhancement Rodem Perez, Assistant Vice President for Business Development Thelma Ocampo, among others.

Barn by Conti’s is open from Monday to Thursday, 8 AM to 9 PM, and from Friday to Sunday, 8 AM to 10 PM.
