Brownout! Mayor Garbo orders class suspension Jan 3 in Mabalacat City

Mayor Crisostomo Garbo of Mabalacat City, Pampanga announced the suspension of classes at all levels, both in pubslic and private schools, on Friday, January 3.

The suspension of face-to-face and online classes was due to the scheduled power interruption announced by the Pampanga Electric Cooperative, Inc. (PELCO) III.

All barangays in the city will be affected by the brownout from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

“Teachers and students are therefore encouraged to utilize the modular mode of classes during this time to ensure continued learning,” the city government said.

“We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. Please stay safe and prepare accordingly,” it added.
