A day after her proclamation as the reelected chief executive of San Fernando City, Pampanga, Mayor Vilma Balle-Caluag resumed her regular work on Wednesday, May 14.
Caluag received 127,124 votes in the May 12 polls, beating former Pampanga 2nd District Board Member and Lubao Mayor Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab.
Cayabyab is the daughter of Pampanga governor-elect Lilia Pineda and sister of vice governor-elect Dennis Pineda.
The City Information Office (CIO) said Caluag started the day with a meeting with the first batch of department heads.
The mayor thanked the city government employees for their support of her programs. She urged them to deliver services as usual.
Meanwhile, for the vice mayoral race, Caluag’s running mate, Aurelio Brenz Gonzales also won in the polls, defeating incumbent Vice Mayor Benedict Jasper “BJ Tiger” Lagman.
