Caluag admin holds job fair for Fernandinos

The San Fernando City government, under the leadership of Mayor Vilma Balle-Caluag, has conducted a job fair, which was attended by 34 local employers and government agencies.

The Fernandino Tara Magobra Job Fair Edition was held on October 3 at the Mini Convention of Heroes Hall in the city.

“The activity was able to solicit a total of 3,762 job vacancies from 34 different local partner employers and government agencies, which were served to 340 job applicants, and among these, 28 were hired on the spot,” the City Public Employment Services Office (CPESO) said.

It aimed to achieve “zero unemployment” by expanding access to jobs, upskilling the workforce, and empowering every Fernandino to become gainfully employed, the CPESO said.

“The importance of this program lies not only in reducing joblessness but also in strengthening families, uplifting communities, and driving inclusive economic growth,” it said.

The initiative, organized by the CPESO and in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment – Pampanga Field Office, was part of Caluag’s 10-point agenda for employment facilitation.
