Capitol, BCDA ink MOA for Pampanga Provincial Hospital–Clark access road

CLARK FREEPORT – Over 146,000 employees, along with 126 business locators and investors inside this freeport, are set to benefit from improved accessibility to the soon-to-open Pampanga Provincial Hospital–Clark (PPH-Clark), following the formal signing on Aug. 28 of a memorandum of agreement between the Bases Conversion and Development Authority and the Provincial Government of Pampanga led by Gov. Lilia “Nanay” Pineda.

The MOA covers the construction and improvement of the access road leading to the nearly completed provincial hospital with the BCDA allocating P50 million for the project and the provincial government overseeing its construction. The project is set to break ground in October 2025 and is expected to be completed by January 2026.

Pineda expressed her deep gratitude to BCDA for its continued support to the province, noting that the new access road will play a vital role in making travel to the hospital more convenient, safe, and accessible for patients, visitors, and healthcare workers.

“This road project will greatly ease the burden of our people, especially those seeking medical attention. It will ensure faster and safer access to healthcare services,” she said.

The Level 2 PPH-Clark comprises 17 private rooms, 16 semi-private beds, and 110 ward beds. Key facilities include an emergency room, operating rooms, obstetrics and gynecology ward, intensive care units, neonatal intensive care unit, and outpatient department. Clinical, diagnostic, ancillary, and administrative services are integrated into its operations.

A major advancement in the province’s efforts to expand public healthcare infrastructure, the PPH-Clark eyed to open in the last quarter of 2025 will provide high-quality medical services to Kapampangans and neighboring communities, and is expected to open within the year.

According to the Clark Development Corp., the project is a strategic boost to the freeport’s development, supporting not only healthcare access but also economic productivity. Pampanga PIO
