Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. has received the city’s Comprehensive Land Use Plan (CLUP) 2021-2030 certificate of approval from the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD).
This was awarded during a ceremony recently held in Diliman, Quezon City.
DHSUD Secretary Jose Rizalino Acuzar handed over the certificate to Lazatin, together with City Planning and Development Officer Engr. Nilda Quito.
The City Information Office (CIO) said Acuzar commended the dedication and commitment of the Angeles City government in shaping a more sustainable and well-planned future for its communities.
The CLUP is an instrument for the local government unit to allocate available land resources to different sectors of its territory for various functions.
The approval of the CLUP is a significant milestone in advancing sustainable and resilient urban development across the country, said Lazatin.
“This milestone reaffirms our commitment to responsible and forward-thinking city planning that prioritizes the well-being of every Angeleño,” the mayor added.
