CLARK FREEPORT — The Department of Tourism (DOT) Region 3 has partnered with the Hann Foundation Inc. (HFI), Hann Philippines Inc. and Iconopixel Multimedia Production for a ₱1.5-million project aimed at recognizing Central Luzon’s culture bearers and preserving the region’s intangible cultural heritage.
Under a memorandum of agreement signed on Nov. 4 during Pampanga Press Club’s monthly KapiHann media forum, Hann Foundation committed ₱1.5 million to fund the 2026 PAMANA: Parangal sa Manlilikhang Natatangi ng Gitnang Luzon, a program honoring individuals whose knowledge, artistry, traditions and cultural practices contribute to the region’s heritage.

The project will run for one year and cover three major components: marketing communications and project management, knowledge transfer and exhibitions, and the PAMANA recognition ceremony.
Iconopixel Multimedia Production will serve as the official third-party project implementer endorsed by DOT Region 3.
It will handle the planning and implementation of project activities, including the recognition event, heritage workshops, multimedia documentation and coordination with culture bearers, local government units and other stakeholders.
The initiative also seeks to ensure that traditional knowledge and cultural practices are passed on to younger generations through mentorship, community-based workshops and direct engagement with recognized culture bearers.
DOT Region 3, headed by Regional Director Richard G. Daenos, will provide technical guidance, participate in the PAMANA Selection Committee, facilitate heritage workshops and promote the program through its official communication channels.
The agency will also coordinate with cultural institutions and local stakeholders to ensure that the project remains aligned with the region’s tourism development and cultural heritage promotion objectives.
Meanwhile, the Hann Foundation will administer the project funding, monitor fund utilization and review accomplishment reports and supporting documents to ensure proper implementation.
Hann Philippines Inc., a PAGCOR licensee, supports the initiative through its partnership with the foundation, which was established to undertake cultural heritage restoration and related initiatives.
The PAMANA program recognizes the contributions of culture bearers in safeguarding Central Luzon’s intangible cultural heritage while providing opportunities for younger generations to learn and sustain traditional practices.
