Globe brought relief and school support to communities in Tarlac after severe flooding and collapsed bridges disrupted access to food, clean water, and other basic necessities. The two-day 917 GDay 2026 effort reached families and children in Brgy. Sawat in Camiling as they began recovering from the impact of the recent typhoon.
Flooding affected the community while the collapse of two bridges restricted movement in and out of the area. With access disrupted, Globe employees worked with Kaya Natin Youth–Tarlac City to bring assistance directly to residents and respond to immediate needs following the disaster.
Globe employee-volunteers also traveled to Brgy. Sawat, providing relief assistance to more than 100 families affected by the typhoon. They also visited Sawat Elementary School, bringing school bags and supplies to primary students to help them return to learning after the disruption.
“GDay is one way our employees put malasakit into action, especially when communities are facing difficult times. By working with Kaya Natin Youth–Tarlac City, we were able to reach families and children who needed assistance and help them take the next steps toward recovery,” said Iman Mancilla, Globe Area Business Head.

Globe continued their efforts at Bahay ni San Jose Orphanage in Nueva Ecija where volunteers provided food and groceries to children under its care. The two-day activity extended assistance beyond affected households, supporting children as families and communities worked toward returning to their everyday routines.
The activities form part of Globe of Good, which brings employees together to contribute their time and skills to communities across the country. Through GDay, Globe worked with local organizations to respond to pressing needs and help extend assistance to areas facing difficult circumstances.
