CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – As the new Registry of Deeds Region III building here opened last July 9, the efforts of then-House Senior Deputy Speaker Aurelio “Dong” Gonzales Jr. and his family for its construction came into public notice.
Gonzales was among the honored guests during the inauguration, in appreciation for his infusion of P35 million for the construction of the new building.
Also on hand were Pampanga 3rd District Rep. Rep. Mica Gonzales, City of San Fernando Vice Mayor Brenz Gonzales and 3rd District board member MyMy Mercado Gonzales who also provided support for the establishment of the new Registry of Deeds building in a bid to further enhance services to the public.
“Magkakasama po nating pinagtulungang plinano at pinagtrabahuhan ito noong ako ang Senior Deputy Speaker last 19th Congress. Sama-sama po tayong susulong para sa mas maganda at progresibong bukas,” Gonzales said in an FB message congratulating Land Registration Authority administrator Jerry Sirios, RD Lorna Salangsang-Dy, RD Mark Aniag and the LRA personnel for the “wonderful milestone.”
As House SDS of the 19th Congress, Gonzales supported various infrastructure developments even outside Pampanga’s 3rd Congressional District.
With the new Registry of Deeds building, Gonzales said government agency would properly maintain, and safeguard public records related to property ownership. He said the administration of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is currently modernizing the Registry of Deeds and the Land Registration Authority of the Philippines by focusing on nationwide digitalization, streamlining title distribution, and upgrading property valuation services.
Among others, the LRA is accelerating the digital conversion of manual paper titles into a secure, electronic database that would prevent title duplication, overlaps, and fraudulent claims. It also offers Anywhere-to-Anywhere (A2A) Services which allows property owners to request a Certified True Copy (CTC) of their land title from any computerized Registry of Deeds in the country, eliminating the need to travel to the specific provincial or city office holding the records.
LRA has also partnered with the Department of Information and Communications Technology to integrate title services into the national eGovPH app. It is also promoting digitize frontline services like e-payments and online title verification, reducing red tape in property transactions.
The opening of the new Registry of Deeds RIII building was also attended by City of San Fernando Mayor Vilma Balle-Caluag, City Councilor Reggie “G4” David, and City Assessor Arnold Carreon. Press release
