Gov Pineda distributes P3.6M medical, burial assistance to Kabalens

Pampanga Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda has led the distribution of cash assistance worth P3.6 million to Kabalen patients and those who lost their loved ones.

Of the total amount, P3.1 million was for 81 patients who needed medical aid and P498,000 as burial assistance given to 86 families, the Provincial Information Office (PIO) said.

“Naging mas magaan ang bigat ng laban para sa maraming pamilya—lalo na sa mga may mahal sa buhay na nakaospital, sumasailalim sa dialysis at chemotherapy, o nangangailangan ng tulong pambili ng gamot,” the PIO said.

“Para sa mga naulila, ang burial assistance ay hindi lang ayuda—ito’y panimulang lakas para makabangon sa gitna ng pagluluksa,” it added.

First District Board Member Cherry Manalo, Pampanga Police Provincial Director Col. Eugene Marcelo, and Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer Fe Manarang were also present at the recent event.
