Gov Pineda leads release of cash aid to over 4K farmers, fishers in Pampanga

Pampanga Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda has led the distribution of financial assistance to more than 4,000 farmers and fisherfolk in the province.

Each of the 4,445 beneficiaries received P5,400 in Emergency Cash Transfer from the Department of Social Welfare and Development through the provincial government on Tuesday, October 13, the Provincial Information Office (PIO) said.

The recipients came from the municipalities of Lubao, Guagua, and Magalang, and Mabalacat City.

Mayors of the local government unit beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the assistance.

“Sa gitna ng pagsubok na dulot ng pagbaha, patuloy na pinatutunayan ng pagtutulungan ng pamahalaan at mga kabalen na sa bawat kabuhayang naaapektuhan, may kaagapay na handang umalalay, at sa bawat pamilyang nagsisikap bumangon, may bagong pag-asang muling sisibol,” the PIO said.
