Gov Pineda orders Pampanga-wide cleanup of election paraphernalia

Pampanga Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda has ordered province-wide clearing operations to remove campaign materials.

The disposal of the election paraphernalia was conducted from Thursday, May 15, to Saturday, May 17.

The Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) and General Services Office (GSO) led the activity.

The Provincial Information Office (PIO) said three mini dump trucks and a pick-up vehicle were deployed to collect the election materials from Sasmuan, Lubao, Guagua, and Bacolor towns.

The activity is based on Section 30 of Comelec Resolution No. 11086, providing a five-day cleanup operation after the elections.

“Panawagan ng Comelec (Commission on Elections) sa mga kandidato, nanalo man o hindi ay tumulong sa pagkamit ng isang malinis, maayos, at responsableng komunidad,” the PIO said.

The midterm polls were held on Monday, May 12.
