Pampanga Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda has extended financial assistance to a three-month-old baby who has a problem on his eyes.
The Provincial Information Office (PIO) said the governor shouldered the P85,000 cost for the procedure on the eyes of the child who was diagnosed to have retinopathy of prematurity stage 4.
Melencio Mallara, father of Akhiro, expressed gratitude to Pineda for the assistance.
It said the father admitted that there was only two percent chance for the operation to succeed. However, Mallari still wants to try than let his child become totally blind.
Pineda asked Akhiro’s parents to inform him of the result of the operation.
