Gov Pineda thanks Marcos for extending aid to Kapampangan farm workers

Pampanga Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda has expressed gratitude to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. for the assistance given to the farmers and other farm workers in the province.

Marcos led the distribution of financial assistance and land titles to the beneficiaries in a ceremony on Friday, September 19, at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center, San Fernando City, Pampanga.

Pineda and Vice Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda joined the President, Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex T. Gatchalian, and Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Secretary Raphael T. Lotilla at the event.

Under the Titulo Program of the DENR, 520 beneficiaries received the land titles, the Provincial Information Office (PIO) said.

“Bukod dito, 2,970 farm workers mula Pampanga ang tumanggap ng tig-₱10,000 financial assistance mula sa DSWD at food packs mula sa Pamahalaang Panlalawigan,” the PIO said.

“Nagkaloob din ang DENR ng 5,083 seedlings para sa mga benepisyaryo upang makatulong sa reforestation at pangangalaga ng kalikasan,” it added.
