Gov Pineda visits patients with leptospirosis in Pampanga hospital

Pampanga Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda has personally checked on patients admitted to the Center for Infectious Diseases and Tropical Medicine in Jose B. Lingad Memorial General Hospital (JBLMGH).

Health Secretary Edwin Mercado and Nanay Partylist Representative Florabel Yatco joined the governor in visiting the hospital where victims of dengue and leptospirosis are being treated.

The Provincial Information Office (PIO) said more than 60 patients are infected with leptospirosis.

“Pero higit sa mga numero, ang mahalaga: may nakahandang kama, gamot, kagamitan at medical team para sa mga nangangailangan,” the PIO said.

It said the JBLMGH assured sufficient rooms and medicines for the patients.

There are also hemodialysis machines for leptospirosis patients with serious complications, the PIO added.
