The Pampanga government, under the leadership of Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, along with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), has extended assistance to over 2,000 individuals from various sectors in the province.
The program aimed to support frontline workers who play crucial roles in the health and welfare of the Kapampangans.
Some 1,206 scavengers received P5,000 each from the DSWD and the provincial government, and 484 Barangay Nutrition Scholars got P3,000 each.
A total of 701 daycare workers received P12,000 subsidy and food items, like chicken and hot dogs.
In her message during the event held at Bren Z Guiao Convention Center, San Fernando City over the weekend, Pineda said the provincial government is committed to always assisting the Kapampangan.
“Hindi lang tuwing Pasko, kundi sa anumang okasyon – hindi kayo makakalimutan,” she said.
