Pampanga Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda has presided over the first quarter Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) meeting, focusing on the importance of house tagging of the priority population.
Present in the meeting on Wednesday, March 5, were some mayors, officials of the various government agencies, and stakeholders to discuss the important updates on the weather, disasters, and other programs for Pampanga’s readiness.
“Isa sa mga pangunahing hakbang na binigyang pansin ay ang house tagging ng mga prayoridad na populasyon at ang pamamahagi ng ‘Go Bags’ sa mga baybaying dagat, kabundukan, at iba pang bulnerableng lugar,” the Provincial Information Office (PIO) said.
Board Member Ananias Canlas Jr. proposed the expansion of the program.
“Kasama rin sa mga plano ang pamamahagi ng first aid kits sa mga pampubliko at pribadong paaralan at ang pagrereprograma ng bahagi ng LDRRM Trust Funds para sa mas epektibong paghahanda,” the PIO said.
The Council also approved the revised Public Service Continuity Plan for the province.
Pineda thanked the PDRRMC for supporting his six-year stint as the Council’s chairman.
