CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos joined Gov. Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, Vice Gov. Dennis “Delta” Pineda and Nanay Partylist Rep. Florabel Yatco at the start of the three-day Kalinga ni Nanay Surgical and Medical Mission at the OFW Hospital in barangay Sindalan here on Feb. 18.
A joint undertaking of the provincial government with the Makati Medical Center Foundation and Nanay Partylist, the medical mission is expected to serve 1,141 patients including OFWs and their families, covering 131 major operations, 392 minor operations, 327 eye check-ups and free prescription eyeglasses, and 292 dental services.
Major and minor surgeries include thyroidectomy, cholecystectomy, cases, excision, varicocelectomy, herniotomy and herniorrhaphy, and hemorrhoidectomy.
Patients are likewise provided free post-operative medicines to ensure their healing.
